School Districts
Services We Offer
In partnership with school districts, students with disabilities and their families, Menta collaborates with the public and private sectors to provide highly personalized and intensive services designed to empower youth with disabilities to maximize their employment, independence and full inclusion into society. Our special education programs in school districts include the following:
Small, nurturing classes led by licensed special education teachers. Our wrap-around support includes counseling, therapy, and nursing services as dictated by the student’s IEP.
Customized district partnerships delivering quality, adaptable programs aligned with state/federal guidelines to overcome barriers and enhance student success.
Modifying transportation to fit the needs of the individual and assisting the individual in navigating the community independently.
For students who are a disruption to the learning environment. This system allows the student to improve their behavior and develop social-emotional skills.
Students receiving fundamental skills-for-life special needs services and programming benefit from competencies that align with their ability to internalize the skills necessary for a successful transition to adulthood.
Available to students who are behind in earning credits for graduation. These school district special education programs programs offer options such as online learning, blended learning, work-based learning, direct instruction and dual enrollment in college classes.
Begins with a person-centered planning approach called Making Action Plans (MAP), which encourages improved academic performance and decreased inappropriate behaviors.
This special needs service is designed to help students secure entry-level positions that lead to full-time employment.
School Options
Menta Schools provide a rich engaging learning experience for diverse learners. Menta’s academic and social-emotional curriculums and instruction are flexible so as to meet the needs of each student. Student interests, needs, strengths and weaknesses drive instruction. Special education programs are available for children with disabilities as well as general education students who need additional supports and special needs services, making the last day of school look like the first day of the rest of their lives.
Menta provides on-campus self-contained classrooms and special education programs to school districts where students who are at risk of a more restrictive environment can receive additional support that may allow them to remain on the comprehensive campus. Alternatively, students who have been placed in an off-campus program can begin the reintegration process in a structured classroom that provides them with consistent supports and services aimed at increasing positive reintegration outcomes.
Menta partners with neighboring schools to provide special education programs that allow schools an alternative to suspension. Menta’s Alternative To Suspension (ATS) program is a highly individualized clinical and academic intervention that provides increased structure, clinical services, and academic tutoring when most needed.
The Menta Education Group trains school personnel on behavior management (Expanded Menta Method), trauma-informed practices, person-centered planning for students, and safe de-escalation and physical restraint methodologies.
