EMM training provides educators with a framework for understanding how adult behavior and the environment affect student learning.  The model is an interwoven system of tools and strategies that teaches educators how to manage and organize themselves and the learning environment in order to achieve desired student outcomes. Training options include: assessment of the learning environment, in-service presentations, intensive labs, and coaching.  Learn more about the EMM model.  Contact us for further information or to request training.

The Menta Method is effective training for educators in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and intervention. The model is built on a foundation of positive behavioral supports and interventions that, coupled with an emphasis on adult management of the learning environment, serves to prevent most crises before they begin. If student problem behavior does begin to escalate, educators are trained to intervene in a manner that helps students regain physical and emotional self control. While The Menta Method emphasizes the use of positive, preventative strategies, it also provides the educator with additional tools for crisis intervention. The Menta Method is utilized by many schools, school districts, and special education cooperatives in Illinois and Arizona. A train-the-trainer option is available for districts or schools who want to be able to provide training internally. Contact us for further information or to request training.

Personalized learning is an instructional approach that enhances learning through personalized pathways tailored for each student’s strengths, needs, and interests and by enabling student voice and choice in what, when, where, and how they learn. Through a person-centered planning process, students develop an individualized action plan (MAP) that includes an exploration of the student’s strengths and interests, history, fears and barriers, support systems, and goals and dreams. Training teaches educators how to facilitate the process and how to use the resulting MAP to enhance each learner’s experience with a personalized learning approach. Exposure to traumatic events and toxic levels of stress can negatively impact a child’s ability to learn, to form positive relationships, and to regulate behavior and emotions in the classroom. Trauma-informed school practices are designed to support children who have been negatively impacted by trauma and toxic stress, but are also practices that positively support all children. Training in trauma-informed school practices introduces educators to the effects of trauma and strategies for fostering resiliency in all students.
