The Menta Group believes all students must graduate with the 3 C’s – Citizenship Ready, Career Ready, and College Ready. The education model does not define success only in terms of academics, but recognizes that students must flourish in all aspects of their lives.
- Citizenship Ready
As educators, the staff will help students increase their understanding of the rights and responsibilities of being a citizen. The students consistently seek opportunities to serve and contribute to their schools, the work force, and their larger communities. Identifying and engaging with these communities fosters citizenship and practical ways to contribute to society.
- Career Ready
Staff understand that students cannot develop the skills necessary to be successful in the workplace and in their communities solely in an academic classroom. Through our Individual Career Empowerment (ICE) model, students explore careers and develop critical work skills. Through this model, not only do students become aware of their personal strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations, but they also increase the technical knowledge and skills necessary for post-secondary careers. Students also learn to apply and interview for jobs.
- College Ready
Students are taught the relationship between post-secondary education and earning power. They learn the requirements for post-secondary education and develop a plan for meetings these requirements prior to graduation. Additionally, Menta staff work with students to complete college and financial aid applications.
